Reflective statement
For this project I looked at 1950s and modern aesthetic, art movements, socialising and death of night clubs. My contributions are ghost bunkers, character design, tent outer design, hanging shapes, use of aerial silk, hanging acrylic shapes, lights, and location. Working in a group can be frustrating when you have disagreements, when they don’t get your vision and when its hard to explain your ideas. However, this forces you to clarify your own ideas to yourself and therefore, results in a stronger narrative and image, making it more likely that everyone will be able to understand. The main benefit of working collaboratively is, of course, having lots more ideas, experiences and perspectives. When exhibiting within the field of illustration, it can be very multi disciplinary and using graphics, fine art, etc. For example, fine artworks are a much more subconscious result of experiences.
